Canon and Nikon have been the most famous camera brand names today. The fact that they both offer the best accessories, camera lens, high megapixel, flash systems and such, no doubt that both brands are at the top when it comes to cameras.
Photography has been a big thing today so no doubt that many people will need to ask which brand is better but to tell you honestly, both brands have their own strengths and weaknesses because if not, the other would have been out of business already.
From weddings, birthdays, whatever photo shoot, up to making videos and movies, there is no doubt that Canon and Nikon are being compared with each other which is really common.
Megapixel Sensor
Both really have high resolution and produces high quality images which are perfect for photography and video making but Nikon has a larger wide of megapixel scope. Nikon camera can reach up to 36.3 MP while Canon has 22.3 MP which is quite smaller than Nikon.
The images produced are very clear and with high resolution but Canon produces smaller files.
Anti-aliasing Filter
Having a high quality camera can somehow capture every detail of what is on the picture. Anit-aliasing filter is used to reduce the effect of shimmering lines of color which are noticeable in surface with repeating patterns and fine texture such as clothes and the likes.
This filter is present in some models of Canon and Nikon specifically the Nikon D800E and EOS 60Da as for the Canon but that Canon model is only closer to the Nikon's, not really with the same quality so I guess Nikon is better in this one.
Video Quality
As for video quality, Canon is the first one to produce a 1080p full HD video with one of its new model last 2009. This model is the Canon 5D Mark II which went viral to a lot of videographers and even is used for filming movies on Hollywood.
Nikon in currently on its way for the model D800 which is just close to Canon.
For the smooth autofocus, Canon is the first one in convincing autofocus tracking system which gives Canon a point more than Nikon.
Features
The features of the cameras are really important when deciding to buy a new one. Nikon is believed to be having more complicated and a lot of buttons and functions in their camera models compare to the Canon which is just light and easy to handle and explore.
Since photographers are always into thinking of something unique and new kind of ideas concerning photographs, then some of them uses Nikon which has many functions and variations of quality image that could be produce.
For some who wants the comfort of simplicity yet very clear and high quality image and videos, they choose Canon.
Choosing the kind of camera can be difficult but think about your preferences and which you would be more comfortable in using. Since then, both of them produces high quality images and videos, it depends on what model of Canon and Nikon are you good at.
